Strike Vote

Well the Strike Vote meeting was quite interesting indeed, according to what's been agreed on thus far cashiers will be able to have water bottles in the check stands with them. A HUGE plus for me. I mean, standing for 2-3 hours at a time talking non stop is thirsty work. There's also been an agreement on a minimum of 10 hours downtime between scheduled shifts. So no more people getting off work at 11:15 pm and working again at 7 am.

Anyways back to the topic of the vote. The meeting as a whole was to list the demands made by the union to better the workers and the company's demands back which were, of course, BS and put us for the worse. So if at their next discussion, the company doesn't give an inch the union is backed up by 97% of the employees province wide for a strike/lock down until things DO get better. Hopefully it doesn't come to having to do the strike but hey, if we have to we have to. Depends on how long things take, etc, heck by the time a strike comes up I'll probably be moved anyways.

Speaking of moving, it would seem UPS is a little cheaper than FedEx to move the same amount of stuff. Say... 3000+ vs. 1700ish. Hmmm let's see.... so far the winner is... *drum roll* I still have time to figure it out considering nothing is set in stone yet. Sigh. I wish it were just done with ya know?
